Meadow Stories - Bumblebee

A spring meadow scene: golden dandelions and airy seed heads, two bumblebees on the wing and, further back, the outline of a castle fading into the mist. The design is worked in counted cross stitch on light green Aida, whose colour acts as the background so that only the design areas are stitched.

The threads come ready sorted by colour on an organiser, so the right shade is easy to find without checking numbers each time. The frame is not included; a hoop or stretcher frame and a pair of embroidery scissors are useful too. Once finished, the piece looks well framed with a pale mount.
