Meadow Stories - Snail

A summer meadow scene: a snail in a cornflower hat plays its pipe among daisies and wild flowers, with a small red house in the distance. The design is worked in counted cross stitch following the full-colour symbolic chart on light green Aida, which acts as sky and background: the pale areas are left unstitched, so the piece grows faster than its size suggests.

The threads come ready sorted on an organiser, which helps with such a wide palette. A frame is not included, and you will also want a hoop or frame to work on and a pair of small scissors. Once finished, it makes a cheerful picture for a child's room or a new-baby gift.
