A campsite at sunset: the caravan with its lit curtains, a campfire with the coffee pot, folding chairs and, behind them, the lake and the mountains. The 42 shades are there to blend the sky and the autumn conifers, so this is a project for someone with a little experience of frequent colour changes.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from the symbolic chart; 16 count Aida has a fine weave, so good light and, if needed, a magnifier will help. You will also want a hoop or frame and small sharp scissors. Once finished, the piece frames up nicely and makes a good gift for anyone who loves travelling.
