The face of a basset hound puppy, with its long ears and soft eyes, printed in colour on Penelope canvas: you simply follow the design, with no counting, covering the canvas with diagonal stitches all slanting the same way. The crisp printing keeps the shading of the coat and the blades of grass in the foreground easy to read.

This is the canvas on its own: threads are not included and should be chosen separately, in tapestry wool or cotton, matching the printed colours. A margin of plain canvas is left around the design for mounting, so the finished piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
