Cards: Christmas Elf

Three Christmas gnomes in striped red and grey hats, framed by Nordic-style borders and small snowflakes: the set makes three different greeting cards, ready to post or hand over in the envelopes supplied.

Counted cross stitch is worked from the symbol chart onto the Aida fabric, whose medium count is comfortable for newcomers as well. The threads come sorted by colour on the organiser, so the right shade is easy to find. Nothing else is needed for the making up: the stitched piece is mounted in the window of the card. Embroidery scissors are handy, and a small hoop if you prefer to keep the fabric taut.
