Summertime

A summer scene with two yellow birds perched among red poppies and poppy seed heads, finished off with stitched lettering. The brown fabric stays visible as the background and sets off the warm colours of the design, which also means there is less area to cover than on a fully stitched piece.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit; the frame is not included, and you will also want a hoop or frame to hold the work taut. Stitching on dark fabric is easier with good light, and a pale cloth over your lap helps the holes show up. The square finished piece makes a small picture to frame.
