Tablecloth - Robins and yellow flowers

A ready-made, hemmed tablecloth with the design printed straight onto the blue cotton: there is no counting, you simply follow the printed lines and shapes, which wash out once the work is finished. Alongside cross stitch you will use stem stitch, back stitch and French knots for the fine stems and flower centres; the instructions show where each one goes.

A hoop or frame moved from area to area makes the work easier, since the embroidery runs all around the square. Threads and needle are already included, so all you need to add is a small pair of scissors. Once washed, it suits a round or square table, or works as a centrepiece on a larger one.
