A wolf howling at the moon, worked in latch hook by knotting short lengths of acrylic yarn onto a large-hole canvas. The yarn comes ready cut and the design is painted straight onto the canvas, so there is no counting: you simply follow the colours square by square with the latch hook supplied.
What you make is the front panel of a cushion cover: the pad and the backing fabric are not included and need to be bought separately, along with thread for making up. The rhythm is repetitive and relaxing, which makes it a good project for older children and for stitching in company; the finished panel can also be used as a small rug or wall hanging.
