Description

A walk through the woods told in felt: the toadstools, the squirrel and the trees are cut and applied onto a calico background that is already printed in colour, then finished with hand stitches that bring out leaves, branches and blades of grass. Several creative stitches are used and each one is explained in the instructions, with a diagram showing where it goes.

The embroidery hoop is part of the kit: it holds the fabric taut while you work and then frames the finished piece, ready to hang straight on the wall. All you need to add is a small pair of scissors for trimming the felt. The appliqué covers much of the design, so it suits stitchers with little experience too.
