A backlit scene: a tall tree, a girl bending over the grass, a seated figure reading, butterflies and a rabbit coming out of its burrow, with a tiny door hidden among the flowers. The green and blue shading of the hand-dyed fabric does the work of sky and light, while everything else is stitched in black.
There are no thread changes, so the chart is easy to follow, although the large solid areas take patience: it suits anyone with a little counted cross stitch experience. You will also want a hoop or frame and a good pair of scissors. The finished piece is made for framing; the frame is not included.
