Cushion - Autumn Starlings Tapestry

A square panel with a Victorian feel: oak leaves, flowers and birds arranged symmetrically, worked in half cross stitch over a canvas that is already printed in full colour. There is no counting involved — you simply cover the design with diagonal stitches all slanting the same way. The wool fills the 10 count canvas generously, so the piece grows quickly, even if you are fairly new to needlepoint.

The finished stitching makes the front of a cushion: backing fabric, cushion pad and making-up materials are not included and need to be bought separately. A square frame or stretcher bars help keep the canvas even; the panel can also be framed instead.
