Cushion - Winter Robins

Two robins facing each other among Christmas roses, a pine cone, red berries and green leaves on a midnight blue ground: a Karen Tye Bentley design worked in half cross stitch over a canvas that is already printed in colour, so there is no counting. The tapestry wool covers the open mesh well and the work grows quickly, even over a large area.

To make up the cushion you will also need backing fabric and a pad, which are not included; the crimson back and piping in the photo simply show one way of finishing it. The stitched panel can also be framed or used as the centre of a quilt. A frame or stand helps keep the canvas taut.
