Duck Nest Plum

Duck Nest belongs to Plum Garden, the Tilda collection where a plum purple ground sets off a dense garden of leaves and blooms: white ducks with orange bills appear among coral scrolls and small flowers with pale blue centres. The scale is medium, so the print still reads well once it is cut into squares and triangles.

It suits quilt blocks as much as bag linings, cushions, pouches and bookbinding projects, and sits happily next to solids in plum and coral shades. Shrinkage is fairly high, so wash and press the fabric before cutting. If you need continuous yardage for a backing or long borders, allow a little extra when working out how many cuts to order.
