Tilda Doll Fabric - Biscuit

This is the fabric Tone Finnanger uses for the bodies of her dolls and angels: a plain biscuit-coloured cotton with a close, firm weave that takes stuffing well and copes with narrow sewn arms and legs without the filling showing through. The warm tone reads as skin and sits happily next to the printed Tilda collections used for clothes and accessories.

It also works for patchwork whenever a neutral background is needed, for appliqué and for small sewn items. Shrinkage is noticeable, so pre-wash before cutting, especially if the finished piece will be washed. For a whole doll choose one of the larger cuts, leaving room for hands and feet too.
