Solid Cornflower

Solid Cornflower is a plain cotton from the Tilda Solids range, in a soft, slightly dusty cornflower blue. Solids are what give a quilt room to breathe: they work for background blocks, borders, backing and binding, and they hold the prints of a collection together so that no pattern fights with another.

It is a medium-weight quilting cotton, equally suited to Tilda dolls and soft animals, cushions, bags and small hand-sewn decorations. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you plan to use it as a background or a backing, choose one of the larger cuts, which come in the full width of the bolt.
