Solid Warm Sand

Solid Warm Sand is a plain shade from the Tilda Basics range: a warm, neutral sand beige that gives busier prints a quiet background. It is the fabric to reach for when you need background squares in a quilt, borders, cushion backs, drawstring bags and linings – a colour that lets the eye rest.

The close cotton weave cuts and sews easily, so it also works for the bodies of Tilda dolls and soft animals as well as for machine or hand patchwork. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips or large background areas, choose one of the bigger cuts.
