Solid Dove White

Solid Dove White is a warm, slightly muted off-white, made to sit behind the Tilda prints. In a quilt it gives breathing space between blocks, in the sashing and in the borders, and it is equally useful for cushion backs, linings, embroidered labels and the bodies of soft dolls.

It is a medium-weight, closely woven cotton that behaves well under the machine and by hand. Because the colour is so pale, pre-wash the fabric before cutting and check that any dark fabrics you pair with it are colourfast. If you need a continuous length for a quilt backing or a whole garment, choose one of the longer cuts.
