Pen Stripe Light Blue belongs to Tilda Classics, the basic range that goes alongside the seasonal collections. The stripes are drawn freehand, slightly uneven and closely spaced, so from a distance the fabric reads almost as a pale solid. That makes it a good quilt background, lining, or fabric for drawstring bags, aprons and the bodies of Tilda dolls.
The stripes help you keep the grain straight when cutting, but they also need following as you sew, since such a regular pattern shows up any seam that runs off square. Shrinkage is fairly high, so pre-wash the fabric before cutting. For borders and long strips choose one of the larger cuts, keeping the stripes unbroken.
