Tiny Star Grey is one of the Tilda Classics, the basics that stay in the range year after year: small grey stars printed in an even grid on a warm off-white. It is the kind of quiet, small-scale print you reach for when larger designs would crowd a project – backgrounds and sashing in a quilt, cushion backs, bag and pouch linings, clothes and hats for Tilda dolls.

It sits happily next to the florals of the seasonal collections and next to solids, and the soft grey works just as well for Christmas sewing as for nursery decorations. Shrinkage is noticeable, so wash and press the fabric before cutting. For borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
