Cottonfield Greygreen

Cottonfield Greygreen belongs to Sanctuary, the muted autumn/winter Tilda collection built around the idea of a cosy, safe retreat. The print is dense and medium in scale: pale cotton bolls standing out against the grey-green ground, with pink stems and small yellow and aqua blooms in between.

Because the motif is small, it works well cut into little pieces: quilt blocks, drawstring bags, pouches, linings and notebook covers, as well as clothes for Tilda dolls. It sits happily with the other fabrics in the collection and with solids in sage green and dusty pink. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
