Cushion - Wild and Wonderful

A lively symmetrical design: a peacock butterfly at the centre, surrounded by orange butterflies, ladybirds, bumblebees and dandelion clocks among yellow and orange flowers on a pale blue ground. The design is printed in full colour on the canvas, so there is no counting involved: you simply fill in the printed areas with the wools, then add the outlines and details in back stitch with the stranded cottons and the gold thread.

To make it up as a cushion you will also need backing fabric, a cushion pad and finishing materials, which are not included (the green cord in the photo is part of the final making up). The 12 count canvas is open and the work grows quickly; the finished piece can also be mounted on a board or framed.
