La Catrina brings Día de los Muertos imagery to counted cross stitch: a platform high heel covered in purple scrollwork, red and yellow roses, trailing green leaves and smiling sugar skulls. It belongs to the Shoe Art range designed by Sally King, and once finished it looks good framed in a sewing room or given to anyone with a weakness for shoes.
The design is worked in counted cross stitch, with back stitch outlining the flowers and skulls. The threads come already sorted, so you can simply follow the chart; you will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and the frame shown is not included. The kit comes in plastic-free boxed packaging.
