Lakes Life

A heart filled with mountains and fir trees, the sun rising over the lake, a cabin by the water, birds overhead and fish below, with the words 'lakes life' along the bottom. The design by Hilary Yafai belongs to the Wild At Heart collection and is stitched on light sage green Aida, a soft background that lets the scene breathe.

It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with a few lazy daisies and back stitch for outlines and lettering; the stranded cottons come ready sorted on the organiser, so there is no hunting for shade numbers. All you need to add is a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The frame is not included: the finished piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
