Star Of Wonder

A star drawn with slender twigs and red berries, hung with baubles, stars, stockings, mittens, hearts, bells and little birds: a Christmas design full of small, varied details, worked in counted cross stitch from the chart. Outlines are finished in back stitch and the raised dots are French knots, both explained in the instructions.

The stranded cottons come ready sorted on the organiser, so there is no need to sort shades before starting; the metallic and variegated threads add sparkle to the ornaments and are used like the others, with short lengths and a little patience. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors. A frame is not included: the finished piece can be framed or made into a hanging panel for Christmas.
