Seed Moon

A full moon lights up the ploughed fields, two swallows cross the starry sky and below ground the seeds are shown putting down roots and sprouting: a spring scene from original artwork by Lizzie Spikes for Driftwood Designs. The chart is clear and symbol-based, and as the fabric is white the dark sky areas need even, careful coverage.

Alongside the cross stitch there is back stitch for the outlines and French knots for small details, both explained in the instructions, so the kit suits anyone who has already finished a smaller project. A hoop or frame and a sharp pair of embroidery scissors make the stitching easier. A picture frame is not included: the finished piece can be framed or mounted on a board.
