Description

A quiet lakeside scene with lotus flowers in the foreground, hazy mountains behind and a cottage tucked among the trees. The watercolour-like shading in the water and the foliage means plenty of colour changes, so some experience in reading a symbolic chart is helpful.

The fabric is white and unprinted: you follow the chart, usually starting from the centre and stitching with two strands of stranded cotton. The instructions are in English, German and French. A hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors make the work easier; once finished, the piece can be washed, pressed from the back and framed, though the frame is not included.
