A glimpse down an old town street: a domed bell tower in the background, a wrought-iron lantern and cascades of pink and red flowers over the balconies. The pale stonework and the many shades of green call for careful colour changes, so this is a project for someone with a little counted cross stitch practice behind them.
You work from the symbolic chart, usually with two strands of stranded cotton on the Aida. A frame is not included, nor are a hoop and scissors: the fabric is cut with a margin all round the design, which is exactly what you need for mounting. The tall format suits a small framed picture for a hallway or stairway.
