A portrait with plenty of shading: the girl's face, the straw of the hat and the reds of the poppies all involve frequent colour changes, so the design is at its best in the hands of someone who has already stitched a few counted pieces. The chart is followed square by square on Aida, an easy fabric to work on because the holes are clearly visible.
All the stitching materials come in the kit; you will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and the picture frame is not included. Once finished, the piece can be laced over board and framed, perhaps with a pale mount as shown in the photo.
