Quiet Lane

A quiet lane between the houses, in warm autumn colours, to work in counted cross stitch on white Aida following the chart supplied. The 16-count weave is fairly fine and holds plenty of detail, so it helps to stitch in good light and, if you like, with a magnifier.

The box holds fabric, threads, needle and chart: all you need to add is a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The thirty shades give soft gradations on walls, roofs and foliage. Once finished, the piece suits framing, perhaps with a mount that sets off its landscape format.
