She Sleeps

A gentle portrait of a sleeping woman among flowers, set in a round composition and worked in counted cross stitch on ice-blue Aida, a cool background that brings out the skin tones and the colours of the petals. The forty shades of DMC stranded cotton are mostly used for the soft transitions of the face and hair, so the design suits stitchers who are comfortable with frequent colour changes.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit; you only need to add a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The circular format is ideal for finishing in a hanging hoop, or for framing with a round mount.
