A warm-toned still life: pink and fuchsia peonies beside a lit lantern, a red book and a teacup. The design is already printed in colour on the canvas, so there is no counting involved: you simply fill in each area of colour with diagonal stitches all slanting the same way.
Only the canvas is supplied: threads and needle are not included. You will need tapestry wool or cotton, chosen to match the printed shades, and a blunt tapestry needle; a frame of a suitable size helps keep the canvas from distorting. The double-thread Penelope weave also allows finer details to be worked in petit point. Once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
