A Christmas card to stitch and then send or hand over in person, from a design by Hannah Dale: the speckled fabric suggests snow falling around the hanging stocking. It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with a little back stitch for the outlines and a few knots that add texture to the fur and the pompoms.
The finished piece is held inside the triple fold card with the Velcro supplied, so it stays flat and can even be taken out after the holidays and framed. Everything you need is in the kit: just add a pair of embroidery scissors and, if you like your fabric taut, a small hoop.
