Description

A blackbird perched among grasses and wild flowers, worked by hand over the design already printed on the calico: there is no counting, you stitch along the coloured lines using a range of creative stitches, adding beads and embellishments to lift the flowers and berries.

It suits anyone who wants to try free-style embroidery or widen their stitch vocabulary, and the chart guides you stitch by stitch. An embroidery hoop is useful for keeping the fabric taut and is not included, nor is the frame shown in the photo. Once finished, the panel can be framed or mounted on a cushion.
