Hannah Dale's artwork shows a rabbit peeping out of a terracotta pot, with a few bulbs and a crocus just coming into flower at its base. The fabric already carries the printed speckles that surround the scene in the original watercolour, so the stitching completes the picture and the finished piece stays close to the illustration.
It is worked in full cross stitch, with backstitch for the outlines and the finer details such as the whiskers and blades of grass. The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so you can start straight away. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the picture frame is not included.
