A city scene with two street musicians, one standing with a saxophone and one seated with a guitar, while passers-by slow down to listen under the flowering wisteria. The soft purples and greys and the sketch-like background give the piece an almost watercolour feel, so it pays to follow the colour changes carefully.
It is worked in counted cross stitch on clearly defined Aida, usually with two strands of stranded cotton; the threads come already sorted on the organiser, so there is no sorting to do before you start. Hoop, scissors and frame are not part of the kit: the fabric has enough margin for mounting and later framing.
