A window thrown open onto Provence, with a watering can standing in for a vase of pansies and lavender and blue tits coming and going between the birdhouse and the nest of eggs. The design is worked in counted cross stitch on 16 count Aida, following the full-colour symbolic chart: the fabric is not printed, so stitches are counted outwards from the centre.
The 58 colours come ready sorted on the organiser, a real help on a piece this size. The frame is not included, and neither are hoop or scissors; a scroll frame keeps the fabric from creasing. Once finished it makes a generously sized picture for the wall.
