Description

A female portrait inspired by the Art Nouveau figures of Alphonse Mucha, worked in counted cross stitch from the chart supplied. The 16-count Aida has a fine weave: stitches come out small and hold the subtle shading of the face and hair nicely, though good light and, if needed, a magnifier make the work easier.

The kit contains all the stitching materials, threads included, so you can start straight away. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors are useful additions. The square format and the subject make it a picture to frame, and a good gift for anyone fond of the Art Nouveau style.
