Midwinter - Aida

A child-like angel with pale wings and a halo walks alongside a polar bear cub held by a green harness finished with a tassel. The many soft shades on the dress, the fur and the wings come from the 35 stranded cotton colours supplied, worked from the counted chart.

The kit already includes fabric, threads, needle and instructions, so all you need to add is a small pair of scissors and, if you like, a hoop or frame to keep the tension even. The frame shown in the photo is not included. Stitching on 16-count Aida calls for careful counting, so it suits stitchers with a little experience. Once finished it makes a picture to hang or a Christmas gift.
