Santorini - View from Terrace

A view of the Greek islands seen from a shaded terrace: little tables with red cloths, geraniums and bougainvillea, and beyond them the sea with windmills and blue-domed houses. It is a wide, richly shaded design, with many half-tones in the sky, the water and the flowers, so it suits stitchers who are already comfortable with counted cross stitch and with following a chart.

The 16-count Aida gives a small, crisp stitch that holds the architectural detail well. Along with the kit it helps to have a hoop or frame and good light; the frame shown in the photo is not included. Once finished, the piece is made to be framed as a picture.
