Springtime Glory

A corner of the countryside in full bloom: a cottage with smoke rising from the chimney, a little stone bridge over the stream, pink flowering shrubs and beds of lilies and garden flowers. The picture is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, on the ice-blue Aida supplied with the kit.

With forty colours and plenty of shading in the sky and the grass it is a demanding project, better suited to stitchers who have already completed a few counted designs. Besides the kit, a hoop or frame and a pair of embroidery scissors are useful. The frame shown in the photo is not included: the finished work makes a picture to frame.
