Summer Vibes - Evenweave

A little angel girl, with a halo and flowers in her hair, reaches out towards the swallows circling around her: a gentle design built on the pale shades of her dress and wings. This version is worked on 32-count Murano evenweave, usually stitching over two threads, which gives a smooth surface and fine, well-defined stitches.

The 35 colours and the soft shading on the face and feathers call for some practice with counted cross stitch and good light. The kit contains fabric, threads, needle, chart and instructions; you will also want a hoop or frame and small scissors, while the frame shown in the photo is not included. Finished, it makes a picture for a child's room or a christening or new-baby gift.
