A summer landscape with wild flowers and a bird on the wing, worked in counted cross stitch on the white Aida supplied in the kit. All the stitching materials are there — fabric, DMC threads and needle — but the grid is read on a phone or tablet: the chart comes only through the free Fantastitch app, which does not allow printing.

There is therefore no paper chart in the kit, worth bearing in mind if you like to stitch from a printed grid. You will also need a hoop or frame and good light, and with this many colours a thread organiser keeps the skeins in order. Once finished, the piece is ready to be framed.
