An 18th-century courtship scene with ladies, gentlemen and a boat on a pond in front of a stone fountain. The design is already printed in colour on the Penelope canvas, so there is no counting: you simply follow the printed shades. This is a large-format piece to work at a relaxed pace, ideally on a floor stand or frame that keeps the canvas taut.
Threads are not included: choose them separately, usually tapestry wool, matching the printed colours. Needlepoint is worked in diagonal stitches all slanting the same way. Once finished, a panel of this size becomes a picture or a wall hanging; the frame is not included.
