Senteurs de Fruits

A classic still life: the fruit basket, the pineapple and the bunches of grapes resting on an embroidered cloth, with plenty of colour changes in the woven wicker and in the shadows. The design is already printed in colour on the antique Penelope canvas, so there is no counting: you follow the printed areas and fill them with diagonal stitches all slanting the same way.

The canvas is sold on its own: threads and needle are not included. The required materials list the DMC Soft Cotton shades matched to the print; Colbert tapestry wool is another option. You will also need a blunt tapestry needle and, if you like, a frame to keep the canvas taut. The finished piece is made to be framed (frame not included).
