Waterfall

An alpine scene in a tall, narrow format: a wooden chalet among the fir trees, flowering shrubs on the grass and a stream tumbling over the rocks, with snowy peaks behind. The design is already printed in colour on the canvas, so there is no counting involved: you simply fill in each area, colour by colour.

Threads are not included: choose them separately, usually tapestry wool, matching the printed shades. Penelope double-thread canvas is worked in diagonal stitches all slanting the same way, with a blunt tapestry needle with a large eye. The upright shape suits a picture to hang vertically; the frame is not included.
