Description

A long-necked duck wrapped in a blue spotted scarf looks down at a robin wearing the same scarf in miniature: a Hannah Dale design in her watercolour style, with the speckles printed on the fabric suggesting falling snow.

The design is worked from the chart, counting the stitches and leaving the printed background on show, so it grows quickly; the outlines are then added in back stitch, with one small French knot to finish. You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The frame is not included: the square format suits a pale mount or a Christmas cushion.
