Description

A high-heeled court shoe turned into a Halloween illustration, with curled-up black cats, a cascade of pumpkins, spiders, trailing ivy and a little steaming cauldron at the toe. It belongs to the Shoe Art Collection designed by Sally King and appeals to anyone who collects stitched shoes or wants a seasonal piece for the hallway.

The design is worked on counted fabric and uses fractional stitches for the curves, backstitch for the outlines and a few French knots, while the metallic silver thread adds the sparkling details. A hoop or frame and good light make the stitching easier. The frame shown is not included.
