Wintry Walks

A winter scene held inside a heart: the little cottage with its red door, fir trees, doves in flight and the lettering worked in gold metallic thread that lifts the whole picture. It is stitched in full cross stitch on winter blue Aida, with a little backstitch outlining and a single French knot, so it stays manageable even if you have only stitched a few pieces before.

The cottons come ready sorted on an organiser, so you can start straight away. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, and the frame shown is not included: once finished, the piece makes a seasonal picture to bring out with the Christmas decorations each year.
