Description

A brightly coloured elephant portrait, taken from an original painting by Rachel Froud for The Menagerie collection. The green background is already printed on the Aida, so only the animal is stitched, and it is worked in full cross stitches throughout: no fractional stitches or backstitch lettering to learn.

The threads come ready sorted on an organiser, so you can start straight away without winding skeins or matching shades; all you may want to add is a hoop or frame if you prefer to stitch with the fabric held taut. The display frame is not included: the square finished piece suits a plain moulding or a mount that gives the green background room to breathe.
