A golden puppy hugging a star-patterned ball, from an original painting by Hannah Dale for Wrendale Designs: a little card to stitch and give for a birthday. It is counted work on white Aida printed with the speckle that runs through the collection, using cross stitch with a few back stitch outlines.
The kit also includes an alphabet so you can add a name or a short message, which makes the card personal. Once the stitching is done, trim the fabric and mount it inside the cream card, ready to slip into the envelope. It is a small project that takes only a few evenings; all you need to add is a pair of small scissors and, if you prefer, a hoop.
